August Pfluger (TX-11): “Partisan government officials running a ‘disinformation board’ sounds ridiculous to most people, yet the Biden Administration tried to control the speech of American citizens. My legislation ensures that absolutely no federal dollars can be spent setting up another Disinformation Governance Board at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). DHS should be focused on securing the border and preventing terrorist attacks, not fact-checking social media, and censoring Americans. I’m proud to work with my colleague on the Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, and fellow Texan, Rep. Ronny Jackson, in introducing this legislation to protect free speech.”
