Pfluger, Cornyn honor President George H.W. Bush’s 100th Birthday

WASHINGTON, DC On Wednesday, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) introduced a concurrent resolution commemorating the 100th Birthday of President George Herbert Walker Bush and honoring his service to the Nation.

“President George H.W. Bush is an inspiration to all Texans,” said Congressman August Pfluger. “He dedicated his life to serving our country in an incredible number of capacities—as a decorated naval aviator who saw combat in World War II, U.S. Representative for the 7th Congressional District of Texas, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Director of Central Intelligence, Vice President, and President of the United States, as well as many impactful initiatives in his personal life. He left an incredible legacy and his work continues. It is an honor to commemorate June 12th, the 100th Birthday of President George H.W. Bush.”

“George H.W. Bush was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he was a devoted public servant who fought to defend our freedoms and bravely led our nation at the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin Wall,” said Senator John Cornyn. “President Bush showed us that you can be both a good man and a great leader, and I’m proud to honor this true statesman on what would have been his 100th birthday.”
