Pfluger announces over 2,000 cases closed and $1.7 million returned to citizens of Texas-11

WASHINGTON, D.C. Congressman August Pfluger on Friday announced that his dedicated district staff has achieved a monumental milestone in their service to the constituents of the 11th District of Texas. Through their tireless efforts, they have successfully closed 2,124 cases—resulting in the return of an impactful $1.7 million to the community. This is money that federal agencies like the IRS, Social Security Administration, and VA failed to deliver.

“I am incredibly proud of the outstanding work my district staff has accomplished,” Pfluger said in a news release. “Their dedication to the residents of the 11th District of Texas is evident in these remarkable numbers. Closing over 2,000 cases and securing the return of $1.7 million is a testament to their commitment to ensuring our community thrives. We have six district offices across Texas-11 open full-time working on issues like recovering lost social security checks, restoring rightful benefits and assistance for veterans, and cutting through bureaucratic red tape. Their hard work and diligence have a direct and positive impact on the lives of those we serve. It is an honor to work on your behalf advancing the policy priorities of our district and helping to secure relief.”

The services provided by Pfluger’s district staff cover a wide range — from helping veterans navigate the complexities of the VA to resolving issues related to Social Security, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and more. As the representative for the 11th District of Texas, the release said Pfluger remains resolute in his commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of his community. The exceptional work of his district staff is an embodiment of this commitment, and their dedication sets a high standard for public service.

Since entering office, Pfluger has introduced 66 original pieces of legislation to secure the border, promote Permian Basin oil and gas production, support service members and the military, provide for farmers and ranchers, and more. He has made himself accessible to constituents by holding 88 in-person public events across the district and has held 20 telephone town halls. His office has responded to over 125,000 constituent calls, emails, and letters. Additionally, he has sent 150 Pfluger Fly-By email newsletters to subscribers to provide in-depth updates on his policy positions, legislative actions, and work in the district.
