A 50-year-old man was killed Wednesday night while trying to cross East 8th Street outside of a crosswalk.
According to the City of Odessa, police were notified of a vehicle-pedestrian accident near 8th Street and Moody Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
Officers determined Bracia Paige was trying to cross the roadway when a 25-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado struck him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
