OPD seizes more than 4 pounds of meth

Odessa police officers seized more than four pounds of methamphetamine Friday and made two felony arrests.

According to an OPD police report, officers went to execute a search warrant on a home in the 2400 block of Glenwood and when they knocked on the door, a man identified as Thomas Hodges fled and was seen throwing something in a Dumpster before he was caught.

Officers found methamphetamine in the item Hodges tossed and more than 400 grams of meth in his room, the report stated.

Christopher Reaza was detained inside the house and when officers searched a Jeep he had the key to, they found a duffle bag with four pounds of meth inside, the report stated.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. They remained in the Ector County jail Friday night on U.S. Marshal’s holds.
