OPD seizes cocaine, meth after traffic stop

A wide right turn Monday led to the seizure of 34 grams of cocaine and 4.5 grams of methamphetamine.

According to an Odessa Police Department report, officers saw the driver of a Chevrolet Spark making a wide right onto John Ben Shepperd Boulevard from Oakwood Drive around 5:40 p.m. Monday and pulled it over.

A canine officer alerted to the vehicle and officers found 0.09 ounces of marijuana, plus the cocaine and methamphetamine, the report stated. In addition, they found digital scales and plastic baggies.

Rafael Moises Silva was arrested on suspicion of two counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

He was booked into the Ector County jail.

No bail information was immediately available.
