The Odessa Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying the people responsible for causing about $150,000 worth of damage to a Starbrite Village display.
According to a news release, someone drove over multiple tethering wires holding the display up and it fell over, causing damage to the display and a park fence.
Police were notified of the incident around 10 a.m. Monday.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to notify Odessa Police at 432-333-3641 or Odessa Crime Stoppers at 432-333-TIPS if you wish to remain anonymous.
The tree lighting for this event takes place Dec. 7 at 6 pm. Starbright Village will continue Dec. 8 – Jan. 1.
