OPD: Five shot, one killed Thursday night

One person was killed and four others were wounded Thursday night in a mass shooting in Odessa and police are searching for two suspects.

The Odessa Police Department issued a news release late Thursday night stating that shortly after 9:30 p.m., officers learned shots had been fired at the Carriage House Apartments on North Dixie and there were multiple gunshot victims at Odessa Regional Medical Center.

“This is an isolated incident as all of these shootings are connected to each other,” the release stated. “There are two outstanding suspects, with no information about them at this time.”

Five gunshot victims had been confirmed at the time of the release.
