A 20-year-old Odessa woman was killed and two other local residents were hurt in a two-vehicle wreck at US 385 and Valencia Street Saturday afternoon.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Addison Nichole Palma was traveling south on US 385 in a Hyundai Tucson when she failed to yield the right of way and turned left onto Valencia Street in front of a Dodge Ram 1500, causing the pickup truck to hit her vehicle in the intersection.
Palma was pronounced deceased at Medical Center Hospital and her 22-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the Dodge, a 31-year-old man who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to MCH in stable condition. It’s unknown if Palma or the man with her were wearing seat belts.
