An elderly Odessan’s service animal was taken in November and efforts to find the dog continue.
Shane Jones on Thursday said his mother’s dog was stolen from the Woodlands Apartments on Nov. 5.
Jones said the dog, Riley, has been listed on every animal locating website and Facebook page he can find. A reward is also offered for the return of the dog but no leads have been found.
Jones quickly came to Odessa to help search for the dog and to post flyers. He’s now begging the public to help him find his mom’s beloved pet.
He said his mother is in failing health and the loss of her pet has been traumatic.
