A 59-year-old Odessa motorcyclist died after he reportedly rolled on the entrance ramp near Gardendale.
The reported fatal rollover happened at 3:25 p.m. Sept. 4 at the intersection of U.S. Highway 385 and State Highway 158 about two miles west of Gardendale.
Randy L. O’Neal, 59, of Odessa was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle east on the entrance ramp of State Highway 158 from U.S. Highway 385, the press release detailed. The motorcycle was traveling at an unsafe speed and left the roadway and rolled, the release stated.
O’Neal was pronounced dead at the scene by an Ector County Medical Examiner. O’Neal wasn’t wearing a helmet.
