Odessa businesses donate funds to MCH Foundation

Bubba’s 33 will be hosting a fundraising campaign for veterans in partnership with the Medical Center Health System Foundation. On Nov. 10, 10 percent of all total food and non-alcoholic purchases at their Odessa location will be donated to assist veterans at Medical Center Health System.

Customers also have the option to donate additional funds when paying their bill. The money raised will fund vital treatments, equipment, charitable care, and other necessities for veterans who receive medical care while at MCHS.

Cpl. Ray’s Coffee will host a fundraising campaign for veterans in partnership with the Medical Center Health System Foundation on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Ten percent of all coffee purchases at their Faudree location will be donated to assist veterans at Medical Center Health System. Customers also have the option to donate additional funds at the register, a news release said.

This is the first year the MCHS Foundation will hold a campaign benefitting veterans at MCHS.

Although veterans are typically honored at their time of death with an Honor Walk at MCHS, MCH wants to begin honoring them for their service and helping them while they are alive. The mission is to recognize and express gratitude to each veteran who receives care at MCHS by helping them with their health needs, the release said.
