OC board to hear scholarship report

The Odessa College Board of Trustees will hear a report Tuesday on the Odessa College Foundation Promise Program scholarship drive and consider approving the executive assistant to the president.

The Promise Program is designed to ensure that college is a reality and funding is not a barrier for students who choose Odessa College. The high school graduating class of 2024 throughout the service area will be the inaugural class of OC Promise, the college website said.

The Personnel Policy Committee recently unanimously recommended Lindsey Bryant as the new executive assistant to Odessa College President Gregory Williams.

Among the other items on the agenda are:

  • Monthly financial statements and budget amendments.
  • Quarterly investment report.
  • Recommendation for appointment of independent auditors.
  • Reorganization of the board.

  • Institutional Effectiveness Report.
  • Vision 2030+ update.
  • President’s report from Williams including Student Awards of Excellence; Odessa College Leadership Institute Class of 2023 graduates; Drive to Success finale; spring graduation; Atmos Energy Pantry Garden Orchard Planting; Blackshear and Carver Elementary OC Invasion; and the dual credit celebration.
