New Mexico woman dies in wreck

A 52-year-old Loving, N.M., woman was killed Monday in a two-vehicle wreck outside Andrews.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Alicia Rivas was traveling north on FM 181 around 5:15 p.m. Monday when she disregarded a stop sign at State Highway 115 and her Nissan Rogue collided with a Chevrolet Silverado. Rivas, who was wearing her seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Chevy, a 27-year-old man from Andrews who was also wearing a seat belt, was treated at Permian Regional Medical Center and released.
