New Mexico man dies in wreck

A 58-year-old New Mexico man was killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in Martin County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 36-year-old man from Arlington was driving a Freightliner with a trailer north on CR D3400 Nov. 12 when he failed to yield the right of way at the intersection of State Highway 176 around 1:30 a.m.

The Freightliner and a Ford F-350 that was being driven west on SH 176 by Hilario Luciano Juarez of Rio Rancho, N.M., collided, according to the DPS report released Friday.

Juarez was pronounced dead at the scene; the driver of the Freightliner was uninjured.
