Midland man died in head-on collision near Garden City

A Midland man was killed early Monday morning in a head-on collision 12 miles west of Garden City on State Highway 137.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release, a 22-year-old Luling man was traveling south on the highway when his Chevrolet Silverado veered across the roadway in an east barrow ditch around 6:30 a.m., came back onto the roadway and collided with a northbound Honda Accord being driven by Aaron William-Thomas Weber, 31, of Midland.

Weber was pronounced dead at the scene by Glasscock County Justice of the Peace Brandy Farris and the driver of the other vehicle was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
