In honor of National Donate Life Month, the Life Champion Committee at Medical Center Health System will be hosting a Donor Memorial Service to recognize local and employee donors on Thursday, April 11.
The service will take place at the Donor Garden, located just outside of the Wheatley Stewart Medical Pavilion at 10 a.m. Local and employee donors and their families will be recognized for giving the gift of life and will be telling their personal stories of how donating has affected them and their family.
In 2023, there were 10 organ donors at Medical Center Hospital, resulting in 25 organs transplanted. The end of the service will feature a powder cannon release in honor of those 2023 donors.
