A 35-year-old Horseshoe Bay man was killed and an Odessa woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Kyle Wayne Steward was driving north on U.S. 385 in a Jeep Wrangler when he failed to control his speed and rear-ended a Mercury Grand Marquis being driven by a 28-year-old Odessa woman around 11:30 a.m.
Steward, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash four miles south of Odessa and the woman was taken to Medical Center Hospital in stable condition.
