A La Féria man was killed Monday morning in a crash just outside Midland.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Herardo Canales, 37, of La Féria was traveling north on State Highway 349 in a Chevrolet Silverado when he drove into the southbound lanes 10 miles south of Midland for an unknown reason around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and hit the left side of a tractor-trailer.
Canales was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The 65-year-old driver of the other vehicle, who is from Snyder, was not hurt.
