Man charged with sexually assaulting a child

An Odessa Police Department probable cause affidavit detailed a 35-year-old man was arrested after a 15-year-old girl reported he had sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions from 2020 to 2021.

David Noel Ramos Jr., 35, was charged with sexual assault of a child (family violence), a second-degree felony.

The incidents were reported to OPD on Jan. 3 that a 15-year-old girl made an outcry of being sexually abused by a known family member, the affidavit stated. The victim identified Ramos as the man who abused her from 2020 to 2021. At the time of her outcry, the 15-year-old girl had relocated to another city and was in the custody of another caretaker, the affidavit detailed.

The girl was interviewed and provided details of numerous incidents of sexual abuse that were included in the probable cause affidavit.

After the interview was done, a SANE exam was administered on the 15-year-old girl and the exam indicated there was trauma.

Ramos was arrested and booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on March 9, jail records show. He had one bond totaling $50,000 and posted bail on March 9.
