The uncle of an 11-year-old girl, who stated he touched her inappropriately multiple times over an 11-day period in March, has been arrested and charged after admitting to the crime, an Ector County Sheriff’s Office affidavit detailed.
Raul Oscar Ramirez, 48, was charged Thursday with indecency with a child, a second-degree felony.
The girl reported that the inappropriate touches happened between March 8 and March 18, the affidavit stated.
ECSO conducted an investigation and set up an interview with Children’s Advocacy Center and Harmony Home, the affidavit detailed. The girl stated Ramirez reportedly touched her buttocks, vagina and breast. The 11-year-old also stated Ramirez made her touch his penis above his clothing during one incident.
Ramirez made a voluntary statement, after being read his rights, and he admitted to inappropriately touching his 11-year-old niece on multiple occasions.
Ramirez was arrested, charged and transported to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center. He had one bond totaling $20,000 and posted bail on Thursday, jail records show.
