An Ector County Sheriff’s Office probable cause affidavit detailed a 35-year-old was arrested being accused of assaulting his girlfriend.

Dehay detailed to deputies she was assaulted by her boyfriend, Curry, and they have lived together for six months. She also stated the assault happened around 9:45 a.m. Feb. 19 at their home, located in the unit block of Big Valley Circle.

The probable cause affidavit stated that Curry assaulted Dehay causing bruising to her neck and restricting her airway by strangling her, which nearly rendered her unconscious.

Curry was arrested and booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center on Feb. 19, jail records show. He has one bond totaling $5,000 and was still in custody as of Wednesday morning.
