Once again, the Republicans are proving themselves to be like the Dallas Cowboys are, frequently. They can get down in the red zone, and then they choke!
The Republicans ran a pretty good show all through the mid-terms, and then let themselves get out-maneuvered by the Democrats in the home stretch. They wound up with only a slight majority, instead of the “red wave” they predicted.
But, that’s not the worst part. Now, that they have officially taken over, they are exposing themselves as total clowns in the process of picking a Speaker! And, you can bet the Democrats are laughing up their sleeves at the clown show! Without a Speaker, no committes can be authorized, no bills can come to the floor to be voted upon, and nothing will get done!
The problem, in my opinion, is that the Republicans always get sidetracked by claiming to “stand on principle”, and “do the right thing”, while the Democrats are unified by being willing to do anything to win. The Democrats will lie, cheat, commit voter fraud, and anything else, just as long as they win.
The Republicans are going to have to realize that they will never win, unless they get just as down and dirty as the Democrats. If you’re going to wrestle a pig, you have to get right down in the mud with him!
I am becoming thoroughly disgusted with the Republicans due to their inability to grow the balls and brains necessary to defeat the Democrats. I wish there was a viable third party, which would stand on the Constitution as it was originally written and intended; stand for the peoples’ rights; quit sucking up to foreign countries like China; and actually stood a chance of getting their candidates elected! This party would never elect criminals like the Bidens, or Clintons, and would put America first!
If this party ever comes into existence, I will join it and drop the Republicans like a hot rock!
