The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer involved shooting that took place Sunday in the 7200 block of Donatello Street.
Officers responded to the location after dispatch received several calls of shots fired about 8:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they made contact with a subject, who refused to comply with officers’ commands, a news release said. Initial investigation indicated that the subject pointed a firearm at three OPD officers, the release said.
The three officers shot at the subject, who was later pronounced deceased on scene. There were no reports of any other injuries, the release said.
The release said information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
