The newly transformed Keith Career and Transfer Center will celebrate its grand opening in the Odessa College Learning Resource Center this week. Special guests Austin and Michele Keith will be honored at the celebration at 11 a.m. on Sept. 21.
“Previously known as the Keith Learning Lab, the space has been transformed to provide career and transfer services to students in an effort to support post-graduation success. Funded by an OC Innovation Grant, the Keith Career & Transfer Center is vibrantly designed and equipped with new technology, furniture, signage, and artwork. Additionally, the Dress for Success Career Clothing Closet will provide access to FREE business attire for students preparing for interviews, career fairs, and other professional meetings,” Executive Director of Student Learning Resources Mireya Jacuinde said in a news release.
Through the new center, current and former students can benefit from services including resume support, mock interviews, career exploration, transfer timeline review, consultations with Transfer Advisors, meetings with business professionals, and more.
