The Black Cultural Council of Odessa (BCCO) has scheduled the 2018 Juneteenth Celebration on Sunday at the following locations.
- Woodson Boys & Girls Club, 1037 E. Murphy St.: 1 p.m., Age 35 and older Legends Basketball Tournament.
- Blackshear Elementary School Auditorium, 501 S. Dixie Blvd.: 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sewell Gospel Celebration, speaker will be the Rev. Samuel L. Buhl II, music will be provided by Purposely Driven and there will be a mime presentation by Purposely Chosen Mime; 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Clean Comedy Clinic, Inc. presents Sister Cantaloupe.
- Woodson Park, 1020 E. Murphy St.: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., “Blues” by DJ Blue Boy and DJ B. Reed at the Main Stage; 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., performances by local rappers at the Main Stage; Youth Dance (south end of park).
Food vendors will be on site at the park.
