I20 crash kills Boyd woman

A 78-year-old Boyd resident was killed in a two-vehicle wreck in Reeves County Thursday night.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ella Mae Arn was driving slowly west on Interstate Highway 20 without any rear lights on when her Toyota Highlander was rear-ended by an International truck and trailer being driven by a 57-year-old man from Sunland Park, N.M.

Arn, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, which took place about 8:30 p.m., six miles northeast of Toyah, according to DPS.

The driver of the International was unhurt.
