The Hobbs Police Department has received messages inquiring if there was an active threat situation at the Covenant Hobbs Hospital, a department Facebook post said.
There were few details, but the post said officers did respond to the hospital in reference a subject with a gun. Officers located the suspect in a vehicle leaving the scene and he was taken into custody for numerous criminal offenses.
Further investigation determined no shots were fired and detectives continue to investigate this incident.
There was no threat to anyone located inside the hospital due to this incident. The post said more information will be released as it becomes available.
