On Feb. 18, students from Richard Milburn Academy, Abilene Cooper High School and Abilene High School competed in the annual Texas Public Safety Association Regional Competition at Odessa College. Several Odessa Police Departments officers worked with the students in preparation for the upcoming state competition, which will be held in April in Allen. Cpl. Michael Hamilton has been working in the role as an Advisor with Richard Milburn Academy. This year, Richard Milburn Academy students have qualified to compete at the state level in the Building Search, and Felony Traffic Stop events.
