A 38-year-old man from Nacogdoches was killed in a two-vehicle wreck early Saturday morning 11 miles east of Goldsmith.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Alvin Earl Smith was traveling west on State Highway 302 in a Lincoln MKZ when he veered into the eastbound lanes around 12:10 a.m. and hit a Mack truck and trailer being driven by a 54-year-old man from Midland.
Smith was pronounced dead at Medical Center Hospital and the other driver wasn’t injured.
