ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: May 2, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER

Arlene Nicole Munoz, 27, pleaded guilty April 20 on three counts of abandoning or endangering child intentional/knowing/reckless/criminal negligence and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

ASSAULT

Brandon Chase Valle, 27, pleaded guilty April 25 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Dominic Flores, 26, had five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges dismissed April 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

Luis Alberto Lujan, 25, had an assault of a pregnant person charge dismissed April 21. Judge John Shrode presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Mark Anthony Rojero, 41, had an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge dismissed April 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

Ramon Medina, III, 47, pleaded guilty April 20 to assault of a family/household member, with previous conviction, and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Shawn Patrick Sweat, 41, pleaded guilty April 26 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to eight years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

BAIL JUMPING

Britton Chance Higdon, 36, had a bail jumping and failed to appear felony charge dismissed April 26. Judge John Shrode presided.

BURGLARY

Brandon Chase Valle, 27, pleaded guilty April 25 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Brandon Lynn Pourner, 39, pleaded guilty April 26 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Dominic Flores, 26, had a burglary of habitation charge dismissed April 20. Judge Justin Low presided.

Pedro Manuel Torres, 22, pleaded guilty April 20 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Sanford Roger Bryan, 49, had a burglary of a building charge dismissed April 19. Judge Justin Low presided.

CONTINUOUS VIOLENCE

Rey Arevalo, 32, was convicted April 19 on the charge of continuous violence against the family and was sentenced to nine years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

DWI

Cesar Lujan, 44, pleaded guilty April 26 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Gabrielle Leigh Savage, 33, pleaded guilty April 20 to driving while under the influence with a child under 15 years of age and was sentenced to three years probation and 24 months in state jail (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Jesus Alfredo Garcia, 34, pleaded guilty April 22 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years probation and eight years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Joseph Ray Martinez, 39, pleaded guilty April 20 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Martin Lopez, 55, pleaded guilty April 20 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Daniel Josiah Bartlett, 24, had an evading arrest detain with a vehicle charge dismissed April 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

Dominic Flores, 26, pleaded guilty April 25 to evading arrest detain with a vehicle and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Ricardo Mendoza, 39, pleaded guilty April 14 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

FORGERY

Arnulfo Dominguez Enriquez, 46, pleaded guilty April 22 to forgery of government/national government institution/money/security and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

David Michael Galindo, 36, pleaded guilty April 20 to forgery of a financial instrument and was sentenced to 11 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Guadalupe Hussain Rivera, 54, had a forgery charge dismissed April 25. Judge James Rush presided.

Twila Shenese Farris, 50, had a forgery of a financial instrument charge dismissed April 25. Judge James Rush presided.

FRAUD

Britton Shane Higdon, 36, had a fraudulent use of identifying information charge dismissed April 26. Judge John Shrode presided.

Edward Vaughin Decker, 49, pleaded guilty April 26 to fraud use/possession of identifying information, number of items under five, and was sentenced to 14 months in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

INJURY

Luis Alberto Lujan, 25, had an injury to a child/elderly/disable with intentional bodily injury charge dismissed April 21. Judge John Shrode presided.

Sean Maggio, 50, had an injury to a child by omission charge dismissed April 22. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Brandon Lynn Pourner, 39, pleaded guilty April 26 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Celina Casias, 46, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed April 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

Pedro Manuel-Alda Venezuela, 33, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge April 22 on the charge of possession of marijuana more than five pounds, but less than 50 pounds. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

ROBBERY

Dominic Flores, 26, had two counts of aggravated robbery charges dismissed April 25. Judge Justin Low presided.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Kolby Ray Adams, 21, pleaded guilty April 25 to the charge of lesser included offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

William Hikes Boone, 52, had two counts of sexual assault charge dismissed April 21. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Guadalupe Ivonne Vasquez, 33, had a tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed April 22. Judge Justin Low presided.

Rickey Gene Oates, 46, had a tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed April 20. Judge Justin Low presided.

THEFT

Edward Vaughin Decker, 49, had a theft of property, more than $30,000, but less than $150,000, charge dismissed April 28. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Kevin Hill, 44, had a theft charge dismissed April 21. Judge Justin Low presided.

Rodney Anthony Thurman, 60, pleaded guilty April 26 to theft of property, less than $2,500, two more previous convictions, and was sentenced to 13 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Sierra Elaine Weatherford, 34, pleaded guilty April 20 to theft of property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000 and was sentenced to 180 days in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE
