ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: April 11, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Adela E. Molina, 40, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon (Fv) charge dismissed April 1. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Damian Alexander Espinoza, 21, pleaded guilty March 30 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to three years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Eugene Escarsega Reyes, 45, pleaded guilty March 28 to assault of a family/household member impeding breath/circulation and was sentenced to 10 years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Raul Julian Vega, 25, pleaded guilty March 29 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Samuel Martinez, 39, had an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon bodily injury family violence charge dismissed March 25. Judge John Shrode presided.

Sergio Alfonso Cabrera, 49, had a assault of a public servant, count two, charge dismissed March 24. Judge Justin Low presided.

Zenel Moreira Rubio, 36, pleaded guilty March 29 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to two years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

BURGLARY

Carlos B. Levario, 37, pleaded guilty March 23 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years probation and 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Charles Albert Stubbs, 38, pleaded guilty April 4 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Emmitt Dewayne Beasley, 56, pleaded guilty March 28 to burglary of a building and was sentenced to 227 days in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Justin Tyler Perkins, 28, pleaded guilty March 28 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Angela Kay Jackson, 49, pleaded guilty March 30 to credit card or debit card abuse and was sentenced six months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Jefferson Edward Lewis Garrett, 39, had a debit card abuse charge dismissed March 31. Judge J. A. “Jim” Bobo presided.

DEADLY CONDUCT DISCHARGE FIREARM

Kenneth Ray Cook, 62, had a deadly conduct discharge firearm charge dismissed April 4. Judge James Rush presided.

DWI

German Sibrian, 27, pleaded guilty March 29 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years probation and five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Axcel Rene Tarango, 23, pleaded guilty March 28 to evading arrest detain with a vehicle and was sentenced to two years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Caleb Deshaun Gadison, 17, pleaded guilty Feb. 28 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years probation and six years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Reydesel None Marquez-Ortiz, 36, pleaded guilty April 5 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Ronald Fulton McKay, 71, pleaded guilty June 2, 2021 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years probation and five years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt (suspended). Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Rudy Montoya, 71, had an evading arrest detain with previous conviction charge dismissed April 4. Judge John Shrode presided.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Miguel Angel Valenzuela, 30, pleaded guilty April 5 to fail to comply sex off duty to register life/annual and was sentenced to three years probation and two years in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Paul Michael Martinez, 42, pleaded guilty March 29 to fail to comply sex offender duty to register life/annual and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

FORGERY

Adrian Gurrola, 24, pleaded guilty April 4 to two counts of forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to 142 days in county jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

FRAUD

Adrian Gurrola, 24, had a tamper with govern record defraud/harm charge dismissed April 4. Judge John Shrode presided.

Thu Le, 38, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge March 25 on the charge of coin operated machine license by fraud. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Gary Garrison was the attorney.

HARASSMENT OF PUBLIC SERVANT

Alfonso Montoya, 41, had his probation revoked Feb. 23 on the charge of harassment of public servant (F3) and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Miguel Natividad, 31, pleaded guilty March 23 to harassment of a public servant and was sentenced to four years probation and 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

HINDER APPREHENSION

Steven Aaron Parum, 60, had a hinder apprehension of prosecution of a known felon charge dismissed March 31. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

INDECENCY

James Lonnie Render, III, 37, pleaded guilty March 29 on the charge of a lesser included offense of indecency by contact and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Samuel San Miguel, 50, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge March 8 on the charge of indecency with a child sexual contact. Judge John W. Smith presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

Danny Eugene Tyre Bell, 18, pleaded guilty March 10 to injury to child/elderly and was sentenced to six years in prison in order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Sabrina Leann Rosa, 31, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to two counts of injury to a child and was sentenced to 40 years in prison in order of adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

KIDNAPPING

Briana Renette Juarez, 29, had a kidnapping charge dismissed March 24. Judge Justin Low presided.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY

Chelsea L. Castillo, 32, pleaded guilty March 23 to manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Kimberly Shane Porras, 39, had a manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, charge dismissed March 31. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Chris Fostel was the attorney.

MURDER

Raul Julian Vega, 25, was convicted March 29 on the charge of murder and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

ONLINE SOLICITATION OF A MINOR

Castillo Luna, Jr., 30, pleaded guilty March 28 to online solicitation of a minor and was sentenced to six years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Christina Jimenez was the attorney.

Charles Ray Baulman, 33, pleaded guilty March 30 to online solicitation of a minor and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Alvaro Villar Medina, 30, pleaded guilty March 30 to possession of a controlled substance less than one gram and was sentenced to two years probation. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Auden Muniz, Jr., 30, pleaded guilty March 31 to possession of a controlled substance more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Bryce Mckenney, 20, pleaded guilty March 23 to possession of a controlled substance less than one gram and was sentenced to two years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Gilbert Lee Contreras, 36, pleaded guilty March 29 to aggravated robbery and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Eric Reyes, 31, pleaded guilty March 31 to two counts of aggravated sexual assault child and was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Lia Harjo, 44, had their probation revoked March 15 on the charge of tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Justin Low presided. Adrian Chavez and Paul G. Belew were the attorneys.

TERRORISTIC THREAT

Eduardo Rogoff, 22, pleaded guilty March 30 to terroristic threat against police officer/judge and was sentenced to five years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.
