This week Future Ed released a report on tutoring titled “Learning Curve – Lessons from the Tutoring Revolution in Public Education,” which featured the work being done in Ector County ISD.
The report’s author, Liz Cohen, spent time visiting ECISD schools to learn how the district implemented a high-dosage, virtual tutoring program that produced significant increases in achievement for the students involved. The report also looks at the district’s use of outcomes-based contracts with the tutoring providers. ECISD’s story begins on page 6 of the report.
We are very proud of our team for implementing this successful initiative that provided critical support for kids and has been garnering national attention over the past few months, a Friday news release said.
