Easter Brunch at Midland’s Longest Table

MIDLAND Thriving United has announced the 2nd Annual community wide Easter Service and Brunch. Easter Brunch at Midland’s Longest Table is an event where the community comes together in friendship and fellowship to dine at Midland’s Longest Table.

“Hosting the 2nd free Easter Service and Brunch is truly exciting. Whereas last year we fed and worshipped with 750 people in downtown Midland. This year, we will exceed 1,000. Every person of any age or walk of life is invited to break bread with their friends and neighbors to celebrate the joy of the season,” Executive Director Coleman Nelson said in a news release.

This year’s event will include a special appearance by Chad Mattson of the chart-topping Christian music band Unspoken. Mattson will share his testimony and join the Transform Band in an uplifting musical worship service.

David McReynolds, pastor churchwide operations at Stonegate, will open with an Easter message. The event will be followed by one of the largest Easter Egg Hunts in Midland. Easter Brunch at Midland’s Longest Table will be held April 9 at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. Service begins at 1 p.m.

This free brunch, Easter service and Easter egg hunt are brought to you by Thriving United and a host of community partners including Porter’s Grocery who provided all of the food, MPLX and Southwest Specialty. Your free event tickets are available at thrivingunited.org.
