Due to the smell of what was thought to be gas, Crockett Middle School, 2301 Conover Ave., was evacuated Wednesday at about 2 p.m.-2:15 p.m.
During his media call Wednesday, Ector County ISD Superintendent Scott Muri said there was no actual leak and students soon returned to class. From what ECISD understands, there were a number of businesses and locations and around Ector County that had the same experience. Muri said Crockett was the only ECISD campus impacted.
