Man indicted from 7-Eleven fatal shooting

A man who was arrested in California in connection with a fatal shooting at an Odessa 7-Eleven from 2018 has been indicted by an Ector County Grand Jury.

Rondale Gerrod Farris, 41, was indicted on two counts of murder, a first-degree felony, and engaging in organized crime, a first-degree felony.

Farris is scheduled to have an arraignment hearing in the 70th District Courtroom of Judge Denn Whalen at 3 p.m. Oct. 6, court records show. Farris remains in custody as of Friday afternoon.

Farris was arrested on a murder charge, a first-degree felony, on Jan. 17, 2019, in Compton, Calif., the Odessa American previously reported. He was caught by the U.S. Marshals Service Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Farris’ murder indictment stemmed from the July 13, 2018, fatal shooting of Treginale White. The fatal shooting happened at 2:14 a.m. at the 7-Eleven located at 2712 Eighth St., an Odessa Police Department affidavit detailed.
