ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: July 5, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Alfredo Aguilar, Jr., 26, had three counts aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charges dismissed June 24. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Daniel Jesse Cruz, Jr., 33, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge June 29 on the charge of assault family/household member previous conviction IAT. Judge John W. Smith presided.

Ernie Enriquez, 27, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 29. Judge John Shrode presided.

Ernie Enriquez, 27, pleaded guilty June 29 to two counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Ernie Enriquez, 40, pleaded guilty June 29 to aggravated assault date/family/house and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Higinio Lombrano Garcia, 43, pleaded guilty June 23 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 60 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Jonathan Garcia, 25, had three counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges dismissed June 24. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Robert V. Garcia was the attorney.

Joshua Silva, 28, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charge dismissed June 25. Judge John Shrode presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Robert Dow Barr, 73, had four counts of an aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charges dismissed June 22. Judge John W. Smith presided.

Roger Anselmo Lopez, Jr., 35, had four counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charged dismissed June 24. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Christina Jimenez was the attorney.

Thomas Ray Freeman, 36, had an assault family violence/impeding breathing (Fv) (F3) charge dismissed June 29. Judge James Rush presided.

Victor Hernandez, Jr., 40, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge June 29 on the charge of aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury. Judge John W. Smith presided.

BURGLARY

Joli Hernandez, 29, pleaded guilty June 16 to burglary of building (SJF) and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

DWI

Decarlos Catrail Knight, 41, had a driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years of age charge dismissed June 23. Judge John Shrode presided. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

Pedro Agapito Martinez, 50, pleaded guilty June 29 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to four years probation and six years in prison (suspended). J Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Brandon J Rodriguez, 28, had an evading arrest detain with vehicle charge dismissed June 29. Judge James Rush presided.

Felipe Ruben Carrillo, 21, pleaded guilty June 23 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

Jesus Manuel Garcia, 43, pleaded guilty June 28 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Steve Ashley was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

Lance Phillip Puryear, 26, pleaded guilty June 29 to two counts of injury child/elderly/disable with intent bodily injury (FV) and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Matthew Pospisil was the attorney.

KIDNAPPING

Cody Andrew Anderson, 42, had a kidnapping charge dismissed June 25. Judge James Rush presided. Chris Fostel was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Cainan Seth Payne, 24, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed June 29. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Daniel Murillo, 44, pleaded guilty June 28 to possession of a controlled substances, less than one gram, (SJF) and was sentenced to six months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Joshua Floyd was the attorney.

Gregory Chavez Castillo, 46, pleaded guilty June 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced nine months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Michael Bejarano, 49, pleaded guilty June 15 to possession of controlled substance, cocaine, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 13 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

THEFT

J Ross Lara, 29, pleaded guilty June 25 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than, $30,000 and was sentenced to nine months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Jaime Cathleen Fisher, 41, pleaded guilty June 23 to aggregated theft and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Jamie Ibarra, 41, had a theft charge dismissed June 23. Judge John Shrode presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.
