ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: July 26, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDONING OR ENDANGERING A CHILD

Shayla Leigh Baker, 30, had an abandoning or endangering a child (SJF) charge dismissed July 19. Judge Justin Low presided.

ASSAULT

Marcos Rodriguez Rivas, 23, pleaded guilty July 9 to assault on public servant (F3) and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Chay Zed Morris, 39, pleaded guilty July 12 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Billy Joe Pitchford, 39, pleaded guilty July 13 to assault public servant (F3) and was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

Marcos Rodriguez Rivas, 23, pleaded guilty July 9 to assault on public servant (F3) and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

BAIL JUMPING/FAIL TO APPEAR

Chay Zed Morris, 39, had a bail jumping and fail to appear charge dismissed July 12. Judge James Rush presided. Phillip Wildman Jr. was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Joshua Isaac Tavarez, 23, pleaded guilty July 14 to burglary of vehicles with previous two or more conviction and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Albertico Nicolas Flores, 67, pleaded guilty July 15 to credit card abuse and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Hector Anthony Valenzuela, 26, was granted community dismissal and discharge July 12 on the charge of credit card or debit card abuse (SJF).

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Douglas Adams, 27, was granted community discharge and dismissal July 15 on the charge of engage in organized criminal activity. Judge Justin Low presided.

DWI

Henry Gerald Oldham, 50, had his probation amended July 15 on the charge driving while intoxicated, third or more and was sentenced to five years probation. Judge W. Stacy Trotter presided. Johanna Curry was the attorney.

Brittany M. Armentrout, 27, pleaded guilty July 15 driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age and was sentenced to four years probation and two years in prison (suspended). Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

ESCAPE

Joshua Isaac Tavarez, 23, pleaded guilty July 14 to escape while arrested/confined felony (F3) and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

EVADING ARREST

Marcos Rodriguez Rivas, 23, pleaded guilty July 9 to evading arrest/detention with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to four years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Charles Allen Thompson, 39, had an evading arrest detain with previous conviction charge dismissed July 7. Judge James Rush presided. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

FAIL TO COMPLY

David Rodriguez Gomez, 21, pleaded guilty July 15 to fail to comply sex offenders duty to register 10 years and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Richard Lee Davis, 37, had a fail to comply sex off duty to register with previous IAT charge dismissed July 16. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Ronnie Dale Chambers, Jr., 29, pleaded guilty July 16 to fail to comply with registration requirements and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

FALSE STATEMENT PROPERTY/CREDIT

Stephen Jason Falcon, 35, had a False Statement Property/Credit charge, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000, dismissed July 16. Judge James Rush presided.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Hilda Madrid, 40, was granted community dismissal and discharge July 13 on two counts of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than 28 grams, but less than 200 grams. Judge James Rush approved the deal. John W. Cliff Jr. was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Belinda Kay Compton, 44, pleaded guilty July 14 on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, (SJF) and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Marc Chastain was the attorney.

Mariah Alee Gonzalez, 21, pleaded guilty July 7 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to nine months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Luis A. Chavez was the attorney.

Destiny Rios, 42, pleaded guilty July 15 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Elizabeth Rose Armendariz, 29, pleaded guilty July 15 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F3) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Rayne Heard, 24, pleaded guilty July 16 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to eight months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Eksel Carrasco, 20, pleaded guilty July 16 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 400 grams, and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Stephen Jason Falcon, 35, pleaded guilty July 16 to lesser included attempted possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to 180 days in state jail. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Javier Guadalupe Primera Ruiz, 25, pleaded guilty July 6 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Marcus Anthony Rodriguez, 38, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed July 9. Judge James Rush presided.

Klein, Michael Paul, 41, pleaded guilty July 16 to sexual assault child, count 1, and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Fredrico Chonie Rivera, Jr., 56, pleaded guilty July 9 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair (F3) and was sentenced to three years probation and three years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. BJ Brown was the attorney.

Eugene Daijaion Bell, 32, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence charge dismissed July 15. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

THEFT

Jose Angel Reyes, 44, had a theft charge dismissed July 19. Judge Justin Low presided.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Shawn Michael McCutcheon, 27, pleaded guilty July 9 to unauthorize use of vehicle and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY FELON
