ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: January 10, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Jordan Doege, 26, had two counts aggravated assault with serious bodily injury charges dismissed Jan. 3. Judge Justin Low presided.

Lawren Christine Calhoun, 43, had an assault family/house member impede breath/circulation charge dismissed Dec. 24. Judge John Shrode presided.

EVADING ARREST

Jacob Salgado, 22, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge Jan. 3 on the charge of evading arrest detainment with vehicle. Justin Wayne Low was the attorney.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Glen Allen Wagoner, 32, had his probation discharged Jan. 3 on the charge of fail to comply with registration requirements. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

Stevan Dale Tealer, 32, had his probation revoked Dec. 16 on the charge of fail to comply with registration requirements and was sentenced to two years probation. Judge Justin Low presided. Christy Lynn Cauthen was the attorney.

FAIL TO STOP AND RENDER AID

Sobeida Galindo Benavides, 52 was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge May 24, 2005 on the charge of fail to stop and render aid. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided. Gerald R. Lopez was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE

Matthew Christ Furstenberg, 31, had a injury child/elderly/disable with intent severe bodily injury/mental charge dismissed Jan. 3. Judge Justin Low presided.

MANUFACTURE DELIVERY

Bertha A. Meza, 49, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge Aug. 4, 2021 on the charge of manufacture delivery of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams. Judge W. Stacy Trotter presided. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

MURDER

Mikel G. Stegall, Jr., 41, had a murder charge dismissed Dec. 20. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Garrat Olsen, 44, pleaded guilty Jan. 4 to the charge of possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 33 days in county jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

John Markus Nunnold, 34, pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four gram, and was sentenced to three years in prison and in an order adjudicating guilty. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Johnny Ray Salazar, 29, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge Dec. 27 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams. Judge John W. Smith presided. Rick A. Navarrete was the attorney.

Jorge Enrique Trevizo, 34, had a possession of a controlled substance, more than 1 gram, but less than four grams, charge dismissed Jan. 4. Judge Justin Low presided.

Marcanthony Vasquez, 21, pleaded guilty Dec. 16 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four gram, and was sentenced to four years in state jail and in an order adjudicating guilty. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Ada Nwaneri was the attorney.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Irving Holcomb, 35, pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to sexual assault child and was sentenced to 12 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

Joshua Aaron Plaia, 34, had three counts of sexual assault child charges dismissed Jan. 3. Judge Justin Low presided.

THEFT

Juan Homero Diaz, 37, had a theft of material aluminum/copper/brass, less than $20K, charge dismissed Jan. 4. Judge John Shrode presided.

Rudy Deven Najera, 34, was granted community supervision dismissal and discharge Jan. 3 on two charges of theft of firearm. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Richard C. Abalos was the attorney.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Richard Jerome Leija, 31, pleaded guilty Dec. 20 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to seven months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.
