ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: February 28, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Clinton Parker Payne, 31, had two counts of an aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges dismissed Feb. 17. Judge James Rush presided.

Guadalupe Rodriguez, 28, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to an aggravated assault with deadly weapon Feb. 18 and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Jesus Beltran, Jr., 49, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Feb. 16 on the charge of aggravated assault with deadly weapon. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Michael Louis McLeaish was the attorney.

Juan Carlos Gomez, 23, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Feb. 15 on the charge of assault family/house impede breath/circulation. Judge W. Stacy Trotter presided. Jeff Parras was the attorney.

Matthew Aaron Barnett, 35, had an aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) charge dismissed Feb. 17. Judge Jay Gibson presided.

Matthew Aaron Barnett, 35, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon (F2) and was sentenced to six years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Jay Gibson approved the deal. Ronald Lewis Baron was the attorney.

Oscar Jovani Lujan, 24, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 to aggravated assault causes serious bodily injury and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Pilar Medrano-Ramos, 53, had an assault public servant (F3) charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge Justin Low presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Ricardo Morales, 32, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to assault family/house impede breath/circulation and was sentenced to four years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Luke Garrett was the attorney.

ATTEMPT TO TAKE OR TAKE WEAPON FROM AN OFFICER

Matthew Aaron Barnett, 35, had an attempt to take or take weapon from an officer charge dismissed Feb. 17. Judge Jay Gibson presided.

BURGLARY

Louis Perez, 52, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Erica Nicole Hall, 28, had her probation revoked Feb. 2 on three charges of credit/debit card abuse and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush presided.

DIVERT

Remy George Delatore, 51, had a divert a controlled substance for another person’s use charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge Justin Low presided. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

DWI

Joe Rios Tijerina, 59, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Feb. 16 on the charge of driving while intoxicated third or more. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Mike Holmes was the attorney.

Michael Hal Gonzales, 32, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to driving while intoxicated, third or more (F3) and was sentenced to five years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Sebastian Serna, 38, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years old and was sentenced to three years probation and two years in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Chelsae Lindsay, 29, was granted community supervision discharge and dismissal Feb. 16 on the charge of evading arrest detain with vehicle. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Josh Stephens was the attorney.

Christopher Meek, 31, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to evading arrest detain with previous conviction and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Donnie Jamez Rudd, 29, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to evading arrest detain with vehicle (F3) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Juan Zubia, 19, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Kevin Ellis, 20, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to evading arrest detain with a vehicle and was sentenced to two years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Randall Graham, 35, pleaded guilty Feb. 22 to evading arrest detain with a previous conviction and was sentenced to six months in State Jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Johnny Ray Subia, 58, pleaded guilty Feb. 22 to failing to comply sex offenders duty to register life/annual and was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Luke Garrett was the attorney.

FORGERY

Johnny Paul Green, 50, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 to forgery financial instrument and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Jesse Camilo Bugawan, 47, had a forgery charge dismissed Feb. 16. Judge James Rush presided. Glen G. Halsell was the attorney.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

AJ Price, 51, pleaded guilty Feb. 14 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, (Sjf) and was sentenced to nine months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal.

Alexander Angel Starkley, 21, had a possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge James Rush presided. J. Roxane Blount was the attorney.

Annetta Marie Smith, 51, had a possession of a controlled substance under one gram charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge Justin Low presided. Laurel Shedd was the attorney.

Casey Steven Hooper, 32, had his probation revoked Feb. 4 on the charge of possession of a controlled substance, more than four grams, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Daniel Madrid, 28, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, (SJF) and was sentenced to three years probation and two years in state jail (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Christy Lynn Cauthen was the attorney.

Dionne Meridyth Ward, 47, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Kristian Skylar Marzula, 30, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, and was sentenced to five years probation and 10 years in prison (suspended). Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Pilar Ramos Medrano, 53, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to four years probation and two years in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Rene Arturo Gomez, 28, had a possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, charge dismissed Feb. 16. Judge James Rush presided.

PROHIBITED SUBSTANCE/ITEM

Alexander Angel Starkley, 21, had a prohibited substance/item in correctional/civic community facility charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge James Rush presided. J. Roxane Blount was the attorney.

ROBBERY

Johnaron Orona, 23, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to robbery and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Zachary Michael Arbuckle, 20, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to robbery (F2) and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Jay Gibson approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Michael Antonio Partida, 21, had three counts of aggravated sexual assault child charge dismissed Feb. 17. Judge Justin Low presided.

Michael Antonio Partida, 21, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to continuous sexual abuse of a child and was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Gilbert Levario, Jr., 26, had a tampering/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed Feb. 17. Judge John Shrode presided. Kevin Acker was the attorney.

Jessie Marie Talley, 42, had a tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair charge dismissed Feb. 16. Judge Justin Low presided. Adrian Chavez was the attorney.

Matilde Rodriguez Olivas Jr., 52, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

THEFT

Angel B. Ortiz, 45, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to theft property, less than $2,500 two more previous convictions and was sentenced to 153 days in county jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Briana Shay Griffith, 31, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to theft – aggregated and was sentenced to eight years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Daniel Sarabia Jr. was the attorney.

Cody Ridenour, 34, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to theft of property, more than $2,500, but less than $30k, and was sentenced to 180 days in State Jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Eduardo Levario Nicolas, 19, pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to theft and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Luis A. Chavez was the attorney.

Katrina Kay Kelly, 33, had a theft property, less than $2,500 two more previous convictions charge dismissed Feb. 16. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Kayla Renee Smith, 36, pleaded guilty Feb. 17 to theft property, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000, and was sentenced to six months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE

Donnie Jamez Rudd, 29, had an unauthorized use of a vehicle charge dismissed Feb. 18. Judge James Rush presided.

Jessie Marie Talley, 42, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 to unauthorized use of vehicle and was sentenced to 238 days in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Victor Manuel Perez Ornelas, 38, pleaded guilty Feb. 22 to unauthorized use of a vehicle and was sentenced to 275 days in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

UNLICENSED POSSESSION FIREARM

Brian Tinoco, 25, pleaded guilty Feb. 16 to unlicensed carrying weapon on alcohol premises and was sentenced to two years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Guadalupe Tercero Rodriguez, 28, pleaded guilty Feb. 18 to an unlicensed possession firearm by felon and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.
