ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: February 21, 2022

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER

Jose Faustino Lopez, 27, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to abandon endanger child with intent to return and was sentenced to two years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

ARSON

Johnaron Orona, 23, pleaded guilty Feb. 10 to arson and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

ASSAULT

Deborick Germaine Anderson, 44, had an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge dismissed Feb. 10. Judge James Rush presided.

Frank Longoria Garcia, 44, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 962 days in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Irvin Hinojos Valadez, 30, had two counts of an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge dismissed Feb. 8. Judge John W. Smith presided.

Irvin Hinojos Valadez, 30, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to aggravated assault with deadly weapon and was sentenced to 1533 days in prison. Judge John W. Smith approved the deal.

Michael Flores, 60, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

BURGLARY

Isaiah Diaz, 22, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 on two counts of burglary of a building and was sentenced to three years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Kristian Skylar Marzula, 31, had a burglary of habitation charge dismissed Feb. 8. Judge Justin Low presided. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Larry Cole Robinson, 27, had a burglary of a building charge dismissed Feb. 15. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

CONTINUOUS VIOLENCE

Johnny Ray Silvas, 39, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to continuous violence against the family (FV) and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD ABUSE

Alexandre Welken, 27, had a credit card abuse charge dismissed Feb. 9. Judge W. Stacy Trotter presided.

DWI

David Tellez Renteria, Jr., 40, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years old and was sentenced to five years probation and two years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Edmar Isel Marquez, 39, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to drinking while driving, third or more, and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Henry Thomas Cardenas, Jr., 41, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to six years probation and 10 years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

Johnny Tony Calderon, Jr., 55, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Jorge Luis Varela, 65, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Maria Minjarez, 53, had a driving while intoxicated with child under 15 years of age charge dismissed Feb. 11. Judge Justin Low presided. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

Michael Flores, 60, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Robert Neal Rives, 70, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to driving while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to three years probation and five years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

Rolando Escajeda, Jr., 33, pleaded guilty Feb. 10 to drinking while driving, third or more, and was sentenced to six years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Xavier Salvador Iniguez, 31, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to driving while intoxicated third or more and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

EVADING ARREST

Guadalupe Aracely Ramirez, 28, had a evading arrest detain with a vehicle charge dismissed Feb. 9. Judge Justin Low presided. Ada Nwaneri and Christy Lynn Cauthen were the attorney’s.

Xzavier Kerry Joseph, 22, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to evading arrest detain with a vehicle and was sentenced to five years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

FORGERY

Ancuncion Villa Deleon, 38, pleaded guilty Feb. 10 to forgery of a financial instrument and was sentenced to eight months in state jail. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

Rita Marmolejo, 41, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to forgery and was sentenced to 20 days county jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

FRAUD

Alexandre Welken, 27, had a fraudulent use and possession of identifying information -50 or more charge dismissed Feb. 9. Judge Tryon D. Lewis presided.

HINDERING APPREHENSION/PROSECUTION OF A KNOWN FELON

Rodolfo Guadalupe Martinez, 30, pleaded guilty Feb. 8 to hindering apprehension or prosecution of a known felon and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Adrian Chavez and Mike Holmes were the attorney’s.

HINDERING A SECURED CREDITOR

Jaime Chavez, Jr., 42, had a hindering a secured creditor, proceeds more than $1,500, but less than $20K, charge dismissed Feb. 11. Judge Denn Whalen presided.

INDECENCY WITH CHILD SEXUAL CONTACT

Ramon Iniguez Grado, 41, pleaded guilty Feb. 10 to indecency with child sexual contact and was sentenced to 10 years probation in deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE WITH INTENT BODILY INJURY

James Dalton Kennedy, 30, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to injury child/elderly/disabled reckless bodily injury and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Daniel Sarabia Jr. was the attorney.

KIDNAPPING

Johnny Silvas, 39, had a kidnapping charge dismissed Feb. 11. Judge James Rush presided.

MANAGING DEALINGS OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES

ONLINE SOLICIT OF A MINOR SEXUAL CONDUCT

Robert Lewis Smiley, 46, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to online solicit of a minor sexual conduct and was sentenced to two years in prison. Judge John Shrode approved the deal.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Aaron Deliz, 32, pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to possession of a controlled substance, more than four gram, but less than 200 grams, and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.
