ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: August 9, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ABANDON ENDANGER CHILD

Ayla Reshe Smith, 30, pleaded guilty July 30 to six counts of abandon endanger child intentionally/knowing/reckless/criminal negligence and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

BURGLARY

Anderson Mutegi, 34, pleaded guilty Aug. 2 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to five years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Tony Chavez was the attorney.

Tommy Leon Allred, 46, had a burglary of habitation charge dismissed July 30. Judge James Rush presided.

CONTINUOUS SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILD

Jose Angel Silva, 34, pleaded guilty Aug. 3 to continous sexual abuse of child and was sentenced to life in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Lawrence Barber Jr. was the attorney.

ONLINE SOLICIT MINOR

Jordan Lane Kidwell, 24, pleaded guilty July 15 to online solicit minor and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Alberto Bonilla Tarango, 40, pleaded guilty July 30 to possession of a controlled substance, more than one gram, but less than four grams, (F3) and was sentenced to three years in prison. Judge James Rush approved the deal.

Christopher Stone, 45, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, (SJF) dismissed July 30. Judge James Rush presided.

TAMPER/FABRICATE

Arelis Gomez Lopez, 49, had a tampering with government documents (F3) charge dismissed July 2. Judge John Shrode presided.

THEFT

Rosemary Ontiveros Araiza, 40, had a theft property charge, more than $2,500, but less than $30,000, dismissed Aug. 2. Judge Justin Low Presided. BJ Brown Was The Attorney.
