ECTOR COUNTY FELONY DISPOSITIONS: August 2, 2021

The following is a list of felony dispositions from the Ector County District Clerk’s Office. Listed attorneys do not necessarily represent who was involved when the case was disposed. The prosecuting attorney was not listed unless otherwise stated.

ASSAULT

Bethany Louise Walker, 38, had an assault family/house member impede breath/circulate (FV)(F3) charge dismissed July 19. Judge Justin Low presided.

Gary Ray White, 32, pleaded guilty July 26 to assault of a pregnant woman and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

Jacob Wiggins, 28, was granted community dismissal and discharge July 23 on the charge of assault public servant. Judge John W. Smith presided.

BURGLARY

Carl Donovan Bender, 52, had a burglary of habitation charge dismissed July 26. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

Domnique Waddell McDade, 33, had a burglary of a habitation charge dismissed July 23. Judge Justin Low presided.

Samuel Jesus Avila, 18, pleaded guilty July 26 to burglary of habitation with intent to commit other felony and was sentenced to eight years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Sergio Carrasco Baeza, 28, pleaded guilty July 26 to burglary of habitation and was sentenced to three years probation and deferred adjudication. Judge Denn Whalen approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Tyler Joe Moss, 33, had a burglary of building charge dismissed July 19. Judge Justin Low presided.

DWI

Bryan Acosta, 32, pleaded guilty July 21 to drinking while intoxicated, third or more, and was sentenced to seven years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Glen G. Halsell Is the attorney.

ENDANGERING A CHILD

Courtney Vasquez, 28, was granted community dismissal and discharge July 23 on the charge of endangering a child. Judge John W. Smith presided.

EVADING ARREST

Domnique Waddell McDade, 38, pleaded guilty July 23 to evading arrest detain with previous conviction and was sentenced to 12 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. D. Bret Mansur was the attorney.

Marc Anthony Vega, 25, pleaded guilty July 21 to evading arrest detain with vehicle and was sentenced to four years in prison. Judge Justin Low approved the deal.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Jacob Ryan Garza, 24, pleaded guilty July 21 to fail to comply sex offenders duty to register 10 years and was sentenced to 18 months in state jail. Judge Justin Low approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

FORGERY

Felicia Toney, 32, had a forgery financial instrument charge dismissed July 16. Judge James Rush presided. Judge James Rush presided.

Sophia S. Garza, 46, pleaded guilty June 2 to forgery (SJF) and was sentenced to seven months in state jail in an order adjudicating guilt. Judge W. Stacy Trotter approved the deal. Felix Neboh was the attorney.

FRAUD

Amber Shea Autrey, 40, had a fraud use/possession identifying info # items less than five (SJF) charge dismissed July 27. Judge John Shrode presided.

HINDER APPREHENSION OR PROSECUTION KNOWN FELON

Juan Ramon Munoz, 46, had a hinder apprehension or prosecution known felon charge dismissed July 16. Judge Denn Whalen presided. Scott Layh was the attorney.

INJURY CHILD/ELDERLY/DISABLE

MURDER

William Clifford Goble, Jr., 62, pleaded guilty July 15 to murder and was sentenced to 38 years in prison. Judge Tryon D. Lewis approved the deal. Scott Layh was the attorney.

Abel Ornelas, Jr., 29, pleaded guilty July 26 to possession of a controlled substance, less than one gram, and was sentenced to 15 months in state jail. Judge James Rush approved the deal. Don R. Fletcher was the attorney.

Brandt Edward McLendon, 36, had a possession of a controlled substance charge, less than one gram, dismissed July 21. Judge Denn Whalen presided.
