Mid-Cities Church, 8700 Highway 191, Midland, has scheduled The After Party from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.


Mission Dorado Baptist Church, 4142 Faudree Road, has scheduled Secret Church 2023 from 6 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. Friday.

The cost is $10 and will include a book, snacks, and the livestream event.


The Rose of Sharon Church, 1615 E. Murphy St., has scheduled a car show 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 22 at the church.

Registration is $25.

Judging begins at 8 and awards are at 3 p.m.

There will be music, Shout Cheerleading, raffles, silent auction and food sales.

There are 12 categories with hot rods, rat rods, muscle cars, trucks, Corvettes, motorcycles, custome, low riders, pre-1965, 200 and newer, Jeeps and imports.

The winner of Best of Show will have their car on next year’s flyer or T-shirt. First place winner in each category will be in drawing to have car on the T-shirt and flyer as well.

There will be a Cornhole tournament, food, vendors, raffle, music, giveaways, and more.

All proceeds help students for summer camps and missions trips.

The Family Resiliency Center of the Permian Basin has scheduled the third annual Permian Basin Post Critical Incident Seminar from May 25-27 at Stonegate Fellowship Church, 4240 Preston Smith Road.

The PCIS is a three-day workshop, delivered by LEMIT and is designed for first responders, as well as active and veteran military personnel, who have experienced traumatic life-altering incidents while in the performance of their duties.

With so many families in the community are losing their jobs due to COVID and the downturn in oil, the Sherwood Clothes Closet is an opportunity for people to find needed clothing items for the entire family.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Masks are required to comply with city orders and to protect each other from spreading the virus.

Victory Christian Fellowship Church, 325 N. County Road West, offers individuals assistance who are hurting from addictions to become drug and alcohol free, physically well and most important spiritually alive.
