Chamber plans leadership class

The 42nd class of Leadership Odessa will commence Thursday with a Welcome Reception from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Odessa Chamber of Commerce, 700 N. Grant, Suite 200. The Odessa Chamber of Commerce had to postpone Leadership Odessa last year due to COVID-19, so we are so pleased to offer this program again this year.

The 2021-2022 class has a total of 37 participants from all segments of Odessa businesses and non-profit organizations that were selected to be a part of this long-standing program. The Leadership participants make a nine-month commitment to the program to develop leadership skills and learn about the community first-hand through monthly sessions.

“We are thrilled to meet the new Leadership Odessa participants this year,” said Lynn Van Amburgh, director of Chamber Operations. “This program challenges the participants to apply their talents throughout the community while making life-long friendships, and it really helps to mold strong leaders within Odessa.”

The welcome reception will serve as an opportunity for the leadership participants to network and meet one another before heading to Prude Ranch on Saturday for the annual retreat. Chamber President/CEO Reneé Earls and incoming Chamber Board Chairman Jimmy Cox will address the incoming class and congratulate them on being selected.
