Ward County Library, 409 S Dwight Ave., in Monahans, is scheduled to host several poetry and book events Sept. 20-24.
An art show also runs Sept. 20-24.
Poetry readings and book signings start at 5 p.m. Sept. 23. From 5 to 8 p.m. Sept. 23, emcee William Christopher Brown, Midland College English professor, will share poetry selections honoring the late Loretta Diane Walker (9/6/1958-7/5/2022).
Guest poets are Jack Campbell and Malachi Hines of New Mexico Tarja and Laurel Santiago of Monahans.
There will be a children’s hour from 11 a.m. to noon Sept. 24 and there will be a painting party from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24. Contact Laurel Santiago 432-241-7604.
