Big Texas Rally for Recovery planned for Midland

MIDLAND Each September, National Recovery Month works to promote and support the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of community members and service providers across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible, and new evidence-based recovery practices.

To honor those in addiction or mental health recovery, Thriving United, is joining other recovery organizations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and El Paso to host The Big Texas Rally for Recovery — Midland.

“We are thrilled to be joining the largest cities around the state to highlight the importance of celebrating the gains made by those in addiction and mental health recovery,” Executive Director David Stephens said in a news release.

The Big Texas Rally for Recovery — Midland will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Yucca Theatre. It is free and open to the public. The event will feature music, information booths, speakers, food trucks and an inflatable fun zone for the kids, the release said.
