Ballroom Marfa announces Ballroom Supper Club

MARFA Ballroom Marfa is pleased to announce a new culinary series, Ballroom Supper Club. Chef Michael Diaz de Leon will host a kitchen takeover at The Capri Marfa for two weekends, starting May 31 through June 9. The Supper Club marks an exciting new chapter at Ballroom, seamlessly blending the worlds of culinary arts and live musical performances. On Saturday, June 8, Sultanes del Yonke, an El Paso based Latin band will perform for the public at The Capri.

To commemorate Ballroom Marfa’s 20th anniversary, the introduction of a new music and culinary program promises to enrich Marfa’s cultural landscape with an eclectic mix of performances and gastronomy experiences, further cementing the institution’s role as a hub for diverse musical expressions, a news release said.

Once considered a culinary desert, Marfa now attracts a diverse array of chefs and food enthusiasts, each drawn by the region’s unique combination of stunning landscapes and vibrant art scenes, fueling culinary innovation and exploration. Marfa also boasts a profound auditory landscape. The quiet mornings and tranquil nights encourage visitors to listen deeply, connecting with their innermost thoughts as though tuning into a global broadcast. In Marfa, the environment itself becomes an orchestra, enhancing every musical performance with its natural acoustics, making them resonate with extraordinary clarity and depth.

The Supper Club promises to be a nexus for spiritual seekers and art connoisseurs from around the world, fostering memorable encounters that bridge art, sound, and taste in an inspiring communal experience.
