A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the April 27 death of an Odessa woman.
According to an OPD news release, officers were asked to check on the welfare of Crystal Williams, 36, at her Faudree Ranch apartment and found her deceased from a gunshot wound.
On Thursday, OPD announced Larry Ashton Johnson has been arrested on suspicion of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Johnson is being held in the Midland County jail on surety bonds totaling$515,000.
Texas Department of Corrections records indicate Johnson is currently on parole in a Montgomery County aggravated robbery case.
