The Parks Legado Town Center announced the return of its annual Christmas Market, a press release stated.
The Market will include sights, shopping, free visits with Santa, and more to celebrate the holiday season.
The Odessa Permian Band’s Booster Club will sell fresh-cut trees, wreaths, garlands, and poinsettias. Local vendors will set up shop at the Christmas Tree Market each Saturday.
Visitors can also expect a visit from Santa, children’s activities, free hot cocoa and Christmas carolers. All proceeds from the event go to the Permian Band Booster Club, which helps staff and organize the event.
“We are so excited to announce the return of Parks Legado Christmas Tree Market. We’re honored to continue partnering with the students who make this event a success. They’ve grown the Christmas Tree Market since 2018, and this year is set up to be the biggest and best yet!” Collin Sewell, President of the Parks Legado Town Center, stated in the press release.
“When Parks Legado started the Christmas Market in 2018, it was intentionally designed as a fundraising opportunity for a school or non-profit,” Elise Hutson, Market Coordinator for the Parks Legado Christmas Tree Market, stated in the press release. “The event was presented to many schools and organizations, but the Permian Band was the only one to take a chance on the event. So, seeing this event grow and reward all their hard work has been really rewarding. What’s even more impactful, though, is that the Band Boosters have leveraged their success in this event to give back to the community; they’re growing the experience for visitors even more, this year.”
Parks Legado has held four successful Christmas Markets since 2018 that have grown with each year. This year’s Market has expanded to three days on three separate weekends. 2022’s event will display a 40-foot community Christmas Tree, more Christmas lights and decor than ever before, and hold Saturday vendor markets with more than 75 local vendors.
The Parks Legado Christmas Market will be held at Parks Legado Town Center on the following dates:
>> Weekend One: Friday, Nov. 18 to Sunday, Nov. 20; Friday, Nov. 18, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 19, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 20, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
>> Weekend Two: Friday, Nov. 25 to Sunday, Nov. 27; Friday, Nov. 25, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 26, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 27, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
>> Weekend Three: Friday, Dec. 2 to Sunday, Dec. 4; Friday, Dec. 2, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 3, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 4, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday events include vendor markets from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
